Janet Stiven to Speak at Knowledge Congress Live Webcast on Cloud Computing

Presentation Directed to Credit Union Management and Legal Counsel, Will Provide Insight into FFIEC Guidance on Cloud Computing

Janet A. Stiven, a Chicago-based business attorney and Dykema Member who assists clients in an outside general counsel role as well as with strategic business and technology transactions, is one of four presenters at a Knowledge Congress live webcast—“Credit Union Alert: Understanding FFIEC’s Cloud Computing Guidance.”

This two-hour live webcast, which will run from 12 noon to 2 pm (ET) on Monday, September 9, 2013, is aimed at top executives and senior officers of credit unions, banks, thrifts and other financial institutions—whose titles or responsibilities range from General Counsel, Legal Risk Officer/Administrator, IT Security, Data Security, and Risk and Compliance—as well as attorneys whose practice areas include Finance, IT, Corporate Compliance and Cloud Computing. The webcast is accredited, providing 1.75 to 2 credit-hours (CLE/CPE).

Ms. Stiven and her co-presenters will address:

  • privacy and security concerns created by moving data to the cloud;
  • the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) guidelines on cloud computing;
  • key privacy and security concerns that credit unions should be mindful of, to minimize data breaches and information theft; and,
  • the particular risk considerations associated with outsourced cloud computing activities.
