Van Lindberg Provides Comments in IAM Examination of Open Source Challenges

Van Lindberg, San Antonio-based senior counsel in Dykema’s Intellectual Property Practice Group and former associate general counsel at Rackspace, was quoted at length in the IAM article “The (Not So) Secret Source.”

In his comments, Lindberg discusses the historical advantages of traditional open source software—freely available to developers—and the problem of distinguishing such programs from proprietary software, protected by complex IP regulations and laws.
