M. Catherine (Katie) Wilcox, an attorney in Dykema’s Government Policy and Practice group, resident in the Firm’s Lansing office, was recently named one of four recipients of the Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) 2013 Young Leader Award, conferred upon outstanding young women under the age of 30 who embody the pro-life legacy of Susan B. Anthony.

Wilcox was presented the award in a gala ceremony in Washington, D.C. at which Representative Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) served as keynote speaker and Wisconsin Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch was presented the Distinguished Leader Award.

In awarding this honor to Wilcox and the three other winners of the Young Leader Award, SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser commended the four for being “leaders when it comes to protecting life at all stages” and “trailblazers who embody the legacy of Susan B. Anthony.” Anthony was a prominent American civil rights leader and a central figure in the 19th century women’s rights movement.

SBA List is a national organization dedicated to the spirit and tradition of the original suffragettes.
