Sheryl L. Toby, member and co-leader of Dykema’s Bankruptcy practice, will be a featured presenter at the 4th Annual New York Mid-Level Professional Development Program on Friday, November 9, 2012.  The event will be held at the Polk and Wardwell LLP Conference Center in New York City. This event, sponsored by the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI), is a unique one-day program that provides attendees (mid-level professionals in the insolvency and restructuring arenas) technical training and career advancement insights.

Toby is among a select number of presenters—that includes some of the nation’s top judges, attorneys, restructuring professionals, investment bankers, financial advisors and clients—who have been invited to share their experience, perspectives and wisdom with attendees.

In a 70-minute session that starts at 10:15 AM, Toby will participate in a panel discussion, “Practicing in Today’s World,” in which she and her fellow panelists will draw upon their real-world experiences to provide attendees helpful tips and practical guidance in what it takes to run a successful practice in today’s challenging environment. With more than two decades’ experience providing creative solutions for creditors, debtors and lenders in troubled situations—in industries ranging from automotive to retailing, financial services to healthcare—Toby has a myriad number of relevant business examples from which to draw.

Toby has participated in numerous significant bankruptcy cases all across the country, is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and is viewed by the media as a “go to” resource on a wide variety of bankruptcy and restructuring matters.
