Three members of Dykema’s national Real Estate Practice Group—Jason Grinnell (Los Angeles), Michael Rothstein, (Chicago) and Dan Schairbaum (Detroit, Ann Arbor)—will lead roundtable discussions at the 43rd Annual ICSC U.S. Shopping Center Law Conference to be held in San Diego, California from October 16-19, 2013. This conference, presented by the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), is one of the nation’s most prestigious and longest-running industry events.

The subject of Grinnell’s roundtable will be: “How Green Is My Rooftop?” in which he’ll address issues relating to renewable energy projects for retail establishments. Rothstein, in his roundtable, will lead a conversation around “The Outparcel Ground Lease: Major Sticking Points and How to Resolve Them.” The theme of Schairbaum’s presentation will be “Lease Renegotiations in a Turbulent Market—What to Ask For, What to Expect.”

The roundtable discussions that Grinnell, Rothstein and Schairbaum will guide have become an important element of the ISCS Law Conference. Designed as informal exchanges among the industry’s top professionals, the conversations are often lively as they are thought-provoking.
