Sheryl Toby Quoted in Automotive World Article about Supplier Disputes

Sheryl Toby, Bloomfield Hills-based member of Dykema's Bankruptcy Practice Group, was quoted at length in the Automotive World article, “VW Resolves Supplier Dispute but Not Underlying Problems.”

The story reports that Volkswagen was forced to shut down production for some of its models, due to cancelled deliveries by two suppliers in retaliation for VW’s cancelled contracts. In the article, Toby analyzes the situation and explains that the industry practice of depending on a single vendor for specific parts and of not stockpiling inventory exposes many car makers to assembly line disruptions.
