Van Lindberg, San Antonio-based member in Dykema’s Intellectual Property practice group, evaluates the opinions reached by the U.S. Supreme Court in Oil States v. Green Energy and SAS Institute Inc. v. Iancu in IPWatchdog, Law360, and IPPRO Patents, noting that the SAS Institute ruling is more likely to affect the Patent Trial and Appeal Board’s inter partes right to review and revoke existing patent grants than the Oil States decision.
