Wittner Chairs & Organizes Legal Portion of Autonomous Vehicle Safety Regulation World Congress; Alleman Serves as Featured Speaker

Nicholas Wittner, Bloomfield Hills-based of counsel, served as the Chair and Organizer of the Legal Segment of the Autonomous Vehicle Safety Regulation World Congress, which was held at The Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Mich., October 23-24, 2017. In addition, Tom Alleman, Dallas-based member and Director of Dykema’s Insurance Industry Group, also served as a panelist for the event.

Wittner, who is also Professor of Law In Residence for Michigan State University’s Law College, not only organized the legal segment of the event, but he also delivered a keynote address. He also served as moderator for the half-day portion of the event focusing on legal challenges in the areas of product liability, cybersecurity, privacy, ethics, insurance, and regulatory compliance, and was the main presenter for the session titled “Product liability: bump in the road or big pothole?”.

Alleman served as a panelist for the discussion entitled “And Now the Law: Product Liability, Cybersecurity, Privacy, Ethics, Insurance, and Regulatory Compliance,” which was also moderated by Wittner.
