Women Attorneys From Dykema Recognized as Top in Their Field by Super Lawyers

September 17, 2019

Dykema, a leading national law firm, is proud to announce that several of its women attorneys were named to various “Top 50” Women Lawyers lists by Super Lawyers in 2019. Jill M. Wheaton, Deborah D. Williamson and Alison R. Ashmore, each received exclusive recognition in their respective states.

Every year, throughout its various markets and regions, Super Lawyers evaluates lawyers across the country for its annual list of top attorneys. Each candidate is measured against 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. Nominees from more than 70 practice areas are considered. The patented multiphase selection process is rigorous and methodical. The “Top Lists” take exclusivity one step further by featuring selected Super Lawyers attorneys with the most total points earned.

Jill Wheaton, Ann Arbor-based member in Dykema’s Litigation Department and Leader of the firm’s Appellate practice, was included in the “Top 50: 2019 Women Michigan Super Lawyers” list. This marks the fourth consecutive year in which Wheaton has been featured on Michigan’s “Top 50 Women” list. She’s also been included in the “Top 25 Women Business Michigan Super Lawyers” list multiple times.

Deborah Williamson, San Antonio-based member in Dykema’s Bankruptcy Practice Group, was included in the “Top 50: 2019 Women Texas Super Lawyers,” which marks her thirteenth time as a member of this list. Williamson was also included on the “Top 50: 2019 Central/West Texas Super Lawyers” list, which is the 15th time she’s received this honor.

Alison Ashmore, Dallas-based member in Dykema's Litigation Department, was included in the “Up-and-Coming 50: 2019 Women Texas Rising Stars List,” marking the third consecutive year in which she was featured on this list. She was also included on the “Up-and-Coming 100: 2019 Texas Rising Stars List,” making it three consecutive years for her inclusion on that list as well.
