Maria Diakoumakis Joins Dykema

Dykema, a leading national law firm, announces that Maria A. Diakoumakishas joined the firm as an associate in the Bankruptcy and Restructuring practice area She has experience drafting and negotiating documents for complex multi-million dollar corporate and restructuring transactions, and in resolving business disputes in and out of court. Ms. Diakoumakis is also a certified public accountant and has a working knowledge of federal and state tax matters relating to formation of business entities and asset acquisitions and dispositions.

Prior to joining Dykema, Ms. Diakoumakis was a corporate restructuring associate at Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP, where she represented interests of debtors and creditors in corporate bankruptcy proceedings, among other things.

A resident of Lincolnwood, Illinois, Ms. Diakoumakis received a B.S., with highest honors, from DePaul University and a J.D., cum laude, from The John Marshall Law School, where she was Lead Articles Editor for The John Marshall Law Review.
