Four New Associates Join Dykema Detroit Office

Dykema, a leading national law firm, announces that four new associates have joined the firm’s Detroit office.

Christopher M. Miller focuses on general litigation, with an emphasis on business and commercial litigation. In the winter/spring of 2005, Mr. Miller worked in the communications department of the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, China. While in law school, he served as the Business Editor of the Entrepreneurial Business Law Journal. A resident of Royal Oak, Mr. Miller received a B.A. from James Madison College at Michigan State University and a J.D. from Ohio State University.

Abimbola A. Obisesan’s practice focuses on corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions, securities, and biotechnology and life sciences. While he was an intern at the Michigan Court of Appeals' research department, Mr. Obisesan assisted in the preparation of legal opinions for a three-judge panel. A resident of Detroit, Mr. Obisesan received a B.A. from Calvin College, a M.P.A. from Grand Valley State University, and a J.D. from Michigan State University College of Law.

Nasseem S. Ramin focuses her practice on general litigation, with an emphasis on business and commercial litigation. While in law school, she was a student attorney in the International Human Rights Law Clinic at American University. Through the Clinic, Ms. Ramin represented a Guantanamo Bay detainee in federal court and in front of the Attorney General’s Guantanamo Detainee Review Task Force. In 2008, Ms. Ramin was a pro bono intern with King & Spalding, LLP, working under the direction of the pro bono committee chairperson. A resident of Dearborn, Ms. Ramin received a B.A., with honors, from the University of Michigan, an M.A. from American University, and a J.D. from American University, Washington College of Law.

Andrew M. Steiger focuses on general taxation issues, including federal and state taxation of corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies and individuals. While in law school, Mr. Steiger was an intern with Huth Lynett and with Community Immigration Legal Services. Prior to law school, Mr. Steiger worked as a tax accountant for a large mutual insurance company. He was also a volunteer tax preparer with the Boston Earned Income Tax Credit Coalition. A resident of Royal Oak, Mr. Steiger received a B.A., with distinction, and a MAcc, with high distinction, from the University of Michigan and a J.D., cum laude, and Order of the Coif, from Wayne State University.
