Dykema, a leading national law firm, announces that Patricia Cari Nowak, a member of the firm’s Litigation practice, and Janet Stiven, a member of the Corporate Finance practice, were named 2009 Illinois Leading Lawyers by the Leading Lawyers Network, a division of Law Bulletin Publishing Company. This distinction was earned by being among those lawyers who were most often recommended by their peers in a statewide survey. All of the female Illinois Leading Lawyers for 2009 were recognized in the "Women in Law 2009" publication which is a supplement to the Chicago Lawyer magazine. The Women in Law publication is designed to recognize and promote female leadership throughout the legal profession.

A licensed nurse, Ms. Nowak’s active trial practice includes representing hospital and medical professionals in medical malpractice actions and hospitals in health care-related litigation. She also represents professionals before the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation.
