Six attorneys were recently elected to membership in Dykema, a leading national law firm with offices in California, Illinois, Michigan, Texas and Washington D.C.

Jon D. Cantor has an active litigation practice representing plaintiffs and defendants in a wide variety of matters. In particular, he has handled construction litigation (construction delay, construction defects, false claims, mechanic liens and stop notices), real estate litigation, and general business litigation. Mr. Cantor has also handled a wide variety of transactional matters, including the purchase and sale of real estate, employment contracts, entertainment contracts, and establishing various business entities. A resident of Woodland Hills, CA, Mr. Cantor received a B.A. from California State University at Northridge and a J.D. from the University of San Fernando Valley.

Kyle R. Dufrane’s practice focuses on pharmaceutical and medical device defense, automotive product liability defense, toxic tort, complex commercial litigation, and insurance litigation. Prior to becoming a Member of the firm, Mr. Dufrane was the lead associate on a team that serves as National Coordinating Counsel for a major automotive manufacturer. In this capacity, he is responsible for handling the defense of matters in diverse jurisdictions throughout the United States. A resident of Macomb, MI, Mr. Dufrane received an A.B. from the University of Michigan and a J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Detroit.

Stephen W. King’s litigation practice focuses on complex business litigation for plaintiffs and defendants, including consumer financial services disputes for businesses throughout the country. Immediately prior to joining Dykema, Mr. King was the Litigation Manager for a publicly traded financial services company based in the metropolitan Detroit area. A resident of Birmingham, MI, Mr. King received a B.A. from Albion College and a J.D., cum laude, from Michigan State University.

Mark G. Malven is the Leader of Dykema’s Technology Transactions Practice. He has many years’ experience negotiating technology transactions and acting as the outside general counsel and trusted strategic advisor for technology-based businesses in a variety of industries, with a particular focus on information technology, biotechnology, entertainment and manufacturing. He serves as Treasurer of the Information Technology Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan, on the Advisory Council for the Automation Alley Technology Center, and was recognized as a Michigan Super Lawyer by the publishers of Law & Politics. A resident of Commerce Township, MI, Mr. Malven received a B.S.E. from Purdue University and a J.D., cum laude, from the University of Michigan.

Brittany M. Schultz, a products liability attorney with Dykema’s Bloomfield Hills office, is part of the firm’s Automotive Industry Team. Since joining Dykema five years ago, Ms. Schultz has helped defend automotive manufacturers and suppliers in a number of high-stakes, high-profile cases including personal injury class actions, wrongful death cases, premises liability actions, general negligence and supplier disputes. A resident of Birmingham, MI, Ms. Schultz received a B.A. from the University of Michigan and a J.D. from Wayne State University.

Humma S. Siddiqi’s practice focuses on automotive, toxic tort, and other general litigation matters. She manages the toxic tort litigation nationally for a major automotive manufacturer. In this capacity, she is involved in key decisions from case inception through trial. Ms. Siddiqi has also represented clients in numerous industries, including pharmaceutical, legal, medical, insurance, environmental, business and commercial. A resident of Rochester, MI, Ms. Siddiqi received a B.A. from James Madison College at Michigan State University and a J.D. from Wayne State University.
