Newman Joins Dykema in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES—Dykema, a leading national law firm, today announced the addition of Brian H. Newman to the firm's Litigation Department as Of Counsel in the Los Angeles office. Prior to joining Dykema, Newman was Senior Counsel in the Litigation practice of Buchalter Nemer PC.

Newman’s arrival comes on the heels of two other recent additions to the Los Angeles office, including Ronald Greenberg from Berkes Crane Robinson & Seal LLP and Christopher Stevens from Calfee Halter & Griswold LLP.

Newman focuses his practice on complex litigation involving financial institutions and companies in the apparel industry. He has particular experience related to the Fair Credit Reporting Act, Truth in Lending Act, and Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. He is also active in the area of intellectual property litigation, having worked on cases involving the alleged infringement of copyright and trademark rights.

Prior to joining Buchalter, Newman was a litigation associate at the global law firm Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP.

Newman is a member of the State Bar of California's Intellectual Property Section and the Members’ Attorney Program of ACA International (Association of Credit and Collection Professionals).

He received a J.D. from the University of California at Los Angeles and a B.A. from the University of California at Berkley.
