Cox Smith, the largest law firm in San Antonio, today announced that the San Antonio Bar Association (SABA) has named Cox Smith “2014 Outstanding Firm of the Year” in recognition of its commitment to SABA’s Community Justice Program (CJP).

Cox Smith attorneys and staff support CJP by volunteering their time at CJP pro bono legal clinics, which help low-income residents in the community access pro bono legal services. According to SABA, Cox Smith took more cases than any other firm or organization during the past fiscal year.

“Community service is one of the cornerstones upon which this firm was founded. We believe strongly in the importance of supporting the communities in which we live and work, and we are incredibly proud to receive this award in recognition of the services we’ve provided to the CJP,” said Deborah Williamson, managing director of Cox Smith.

Additionally, Cox Smith and shareholder Donna McElroy each received the President’s Award from the San Antonio Bar Association this summer in recognition of their commitment and hard work on behalf of the Bar. Cox Smith energy litigator Marty Truss was recently confirmed as SABA’s new President-Elect.
