Dykema, a leading national law firm, announces that Darrell E. Jordan, Managing Member of the firmfs Dallas office, has been named a Texas Super Lawyer 2010. This listing is published annually by Law & Politics, which performs the polling, research, and selection of Super Lawyers in a process designed to identify Texas lawyers within 60 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Mr. Jordan has been recognized as a Super Lawyer annually since the inception of the award in 2003 and has received recognition in the corporate counsel edition since 2008.

Mr. Jordan has long been considered a leader in the legal profession and is active throughout the Dallas community. He has been honored for his leadership roles within the legal community on many occasions.@ Those leadership roles include serving as President of the State Bar of Texas, President of the Dallas Bar Association, and as a member of the Board of Governors and the Executive Committee of the American Bar Association.

He is a 2005 Distinguished Alumnus of the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law and a former president of the Texas Supreme Court Historical Society.@ Mr. Jordan is a Life Fellow of the American, Texas and Dallas Bar Foundations, and he is a Master of the Patrick E. Higginbotham American Inn of Court.@ He is board certified in Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates.

Mr. Jordan's community involvement extends to political activism and civic service throughout Dallas and Texas.@ He actively serves on the boards of several local organizations including the Methodist Health System Foundation, Greater Dallas Planning Council, Southwestern Medical Foundation, Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law and the SMU Athletic Forum.
