Dykema, a leading national law firm, today announced the appointment of Aleksandra Miziolek as Director of the firm’s Automotive Industry Group. In her new role, Miziolek will help further strengthen what is already a nationally-renowned automotive team.

"Aleks is an ideal choice to lead Dykema’s Automotive Industry Group. She is an experienced and highly-respected attorney within the firm and throughout the automotive industry," said Rex Schlaybaugh, Dykema’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

Dykema has one of the most extensive automotive legal practices in the United States, regularly representing automotive companies headquartered throughout the world. Its Automotive Industry Group counsels Tier 1 and other suppliers and OEMs in multi-million-dollar mergers and acquisitions, in a broad array of automobile product liability, commercial and supply chain management litigation, in class action litigation in the most challenging jurisdictions, and before the U.S. Department of Transportation, NHTSA and other federal and state departments and agencies.

As the automotive landscape continues to change, Dykema has remained at the forefront of issues important to its clients. The increasingly collaborative relationship between OEMs and automotive suppliers is one such issue Miziolek and her team are keenly monitoring. Dykema’s long standing commitment to providing comprehensive legal services to manufacturers and the supply base alike sets its Automotive Industry Group apart from other automotive practices and renders it uniquely positioned to help shape the future of the automotive industry as a whole.

Miziolek’s practice focuses primarily on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and other corporate transactions involving public and privately held companies. Miziolek has extensive experience in representing companies in automotive, transportation and infrastructure related industries. She also counsels public companies and their boards of directors in the areas of corporate governance and fiduciary duties, including representation of special committees of the board in the review of strategic alternatives. She received a B.A. with high distinction and a J.D. summa cum laude from Wayne State University.
