Dykema Attorney Participates In Women’s Open Forum

Dykema, a leading national law firm, announces that Rosa M. Tumialán, a member of the firm’s Litigation Department, will participate in a panel discussion entitled, "Women Partners and Women in Senior Corporate Management" being presented by The Diversity Scholarship Foundation, NFP, The John Marshall Law School and the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois on May 13, 2010.

This Open Forum is a panel discussion highlighting the career paths of five women who hold senior-level positions. The panelists will discuss how they obtained shareholder/member positions within their firms and upper-level management positions within their companies; how they overcame obstacles along the way; the key ingredients to their successes, and what advice they would give to other women seeking to move up in their careers.

Ms. Tumialán represents clients in a variety of litigation and litigation related matters, including products liability, banking (federal and state regulations concerning consumer lending), general commercial litigation, insurance coverage disputes and environmental liability matters. She has tried cases in court and before arbitration panels.

Ms. Tumialán is also an appellate specialist and the coordinator of appeals in the firm’s Chicago office. She is a member of the firm’s Diversity Committee and received the 2008 Award for Excellence in Pro Bono and Public Interest Service from the Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
