Stephen Komarec Adds Depth to Firm's Capabilities in Worldwide Patent Preparation and Prosecution; Counsels Clients on Patentability of Ideas

Dykema, a leading national law firm, announces the addition of Stephen Komarec as senior counsel in its Intellectual Property Group. Komarec, who joins Dykema from Kinney & Lange, a Minneapolis-based IP boutique, joins as senior counsel resident in the firm’s Minneapolis office.

Komarec has extensive experience in worldwide patent preparation and prosecution, including extensive work with foreign counsel to establish global patent portfolios for clients. His practice focuses on all manners of intellectual property protection and defense, including counseling clients on the patentability of ideas, non-infringement opinions, invalidity opinions and re-issue applications.

Kormarec’s industry experience covers a wide array of technologies that include aerospace systems, turbine engines, medical devices, fuel and lubrication systems, heat exchangers, industrial process control systems and computer storage devices.

Komarec received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, and his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School.
