DETROIT—The law firm of Dykema announces that Paul M. Laurenza, Office Managing Member of the Firm’s Washington, D.C. office and a member of the Firm’s Automotive Industry Group, has been named Vice Chairman of the Connected Vehicle Trade Association (CVTA). Laurenza, who joined Dykema in 2002, has served on the CVTA’s  board of directors since 2007.

Headquartered in Plymouth, MI, CVTA is a not-for-profit business league designed to facilitate communication, collaboration and consensus-building among companies, organizations and state and federal agencies involved in the development and deployment of vehicle communications.

Laurenza has represented clients in the transportation, consumer product, food and drug, and industrial sector for more than three decades. He has assisted numerous automotive industry clients on motor vehicle safety and related matters, including advising with respect to connected vehicle and other emerging technologies, and has written and spoken extensively on these topics.
