Danielle Rushing Honored With American Bar Association 20/20 Partners Rising Young Leader Award

Dykema, a leading national law firm, announced today that Danielle Rushing, San Antonio-based attorney in the firm’s Bankruptcy Practice, was selected by the American Bar Association (ABA) Business Law Section Business Bankruptcy Committee’s (“BBC”) for the inaugural class of 20/20 Partners Rising Young Leader Award. Rushing will be honored at the BBC luncheon during the hybrid National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges in Indianapolis, Indiana, from October 6-9, 2021.

According to the BBC, this award recognizes the nation’s top young bankruptcy lawyers who have demonstrated a steadfast commitment to business bankruptcy, community involvement, leadership, and professionalism. The BBC states that Rushing and her fellow class members represent the best and brightest in the bankruptcy community and the future of the legal profession.

Rushing focuses her practice on bankruptcy and restructuring matter. She currently represents several multi-million dollar businesses, particularly in the oil and gas/energy, retail, fitness, healthcare, and transportation industries. Rushing has drafted and argued various motions in state and federal courts.

Beyond her practice, Rushing is heavily involved in several professional organizations. She was recently appointed as Chair of the ABA Young Lawyers Division, is President-Elect of the Bexar County Women’s Bar (BCWB) Association and Foundation, a Board Member for the San Antonio Young Lawyers Association and Foundation, and is a Fellow with the Texas Bar Foundation. Rushing was also a member of the State Bar of Texas’ 2020-21 class of LeadershipSBOT, the 2020 San Antonio Bar Foundation Fellows Program, and the 2019 class of the BCWB Foundation’s LEAD Academy.

Rushing earned a J.D. from St. Mary’s University School of Law and a B.S. from Louisiana State University.
