DETROIT—Dykema Gossett PLLC congratulates attorney Daniel J. Stephenson on being selected to serve as a Fellow for the Litigation Counsel of America (LCA), a trial lawyer honorary society composed of less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers. Fellowship in the LCA is highly selective and by invitation only. Stephenson was inducted at LCA's Spring Conference and Induction of Fellows in Laguna Beach, California on May 5, 2011.

Stephenson, the Office Managing Member of Dykema's Los Angeles office and a member of the firm's Executive Board, is a litigator whose practice is focused on the defense of companies in the pharmaceutical, medical device and aviation industries. Throughout his nearly 30 year career he has represented some of the world's largest companies, including as lead attorney in several high profile law suits. His extensive experience, both in and outside the courtroom, give him unique insight when advising clients on legal matters and when assessing litigation strategy in today's legal landscape.

"The honor of becoming an LCA Fellow will provide me additional outlets for knowledge sharing and thought leadership so that I may help advance the practice of law in our current legal environment," said Stephenson. "Also, fundamental to LCA's purpose and essential to the foundation of my practice is the promotion of exceptional advocacy and ethical standards. Not only do I embrace endorsements of this nature, but they are also key tenets of Dykema's service model."

LCA Fellows are selected based upon excellence and accomplishment in litigation, both at the trial and appellate levels, and superior reputation. The LCA is aggressively diverse in its composition. Established as a trial and appellate lawyer honorary society reflecting the American bar in the 21st century, the LCA represents the best in law among its membership.
