The Proposed Changes to FRCP 23: Important Developments

This webinar is timed to a key step in amending FRCP 23. After a two year exhaustive review, the Rule 23 Subcommittee of the Advisory Committee on Civil Rules has presented its proposed amendments to the Civil Rules Advisory Committee for review and ultimately submission for public hearings and comments that could begin as soon as August.  This webinar explains the recommended changes; describes the imminent actions in the amendment process; and emphasizes the importance of participating in the hearings and comment process.  The proposed amendments will encompass major topics affecting complex class action practice,  including settlement approval criteria; settlement class certification; dealing with objectors to help avert abuses; and modernized means of notice.
