New Roles for the Physician's Assistant and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in Michigan

Kathleen A. Reed, Ann Arbor-based senior attorney in Dykema’s Health Care practice group, has co-written “New Roles for the Physician’s Assistant and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in Michigan,” published by the State Bar of Michigan Health Care Law Section.

The paper explores how recent Michigan laws will expand the roles of physician’s assistants (PAs and advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) by giving them the authority to prescribe selected medications and carry out specific medical tasks heretofore restricted to MDs.
