Paul Stewart, Ann Arbor-based attorney in Dykema’s Financial Services Litigation group, authored an article featured in Res Ispa Loquitur, a bimonthly publication of the Washtenaw County Bar Association.

In the article, “Personal Jurisdiction: New Limitations and the Consent-by-Registration Workaround,” Stewart provides a brief overview of recently established constitutional constraints imposed on personal jurisdiction and the potential for a Michigan court to exercise personal jurisdiction under consent-by- registration theory, where jurisdiction would otherwise be lacking Stewart concludes by providing take-aways for Michigan practitioners.
