Covid-19’s Impact on U.S. Patent Filings

Michael Gzybowski, Ann Arbor-based Senior Counsel in Dykema’s Intellectual Property practice group, authored the Bloomberg Law article, “Covid-19’s Impact on U.S. Patent Filings.”

In the article, Gzybowski discussed the differences in the significant economic downturns of 2009 and 2020 and the impact of each on patent applications. He also presented his outlook for the future of the economy and consumer spending and how those factors will influence patent application filings.
