Dykema Adds Financial Services Litigator Brent W. Procida in Washington, D.C.

Dykema, a leading national law firm, today announced the addition of Brent W. Procida as a Member in the firm’s Financial Services Litigation Practice Group, resident in the Washington, D.C., office. He joins Dykema after practicing at Venable LLP for more than 20 years.

Procida is an experienced litigator whose practice focuses on creditors’ rights and complex commercial litigation. He represents business and financial institution clients in workout negotiations, debt restructuring matters, lender liability disputes, and bankruptcy litigation. He has extensive experience advising clients in high-stakes financial disputes involving commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) servicing, bond litigation, and distressed commercial real estate matters. In addition, he has successfully advocated for clients in complex appellate matters in state and federal courts.

Over the course of his career, Procida has represented financial services clients in significant workout and restructuring matters, including mortgage loan defaults, hotel bankruptcies, and lender liability litigation. He also has substantial experience defending and prosecuting claims arising in bankruptcy proceedings and complex commercial disputes.

Procida earned a J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Notre Dame.
