Dykema Named a Litigation Powerhouse in BTI Litigation Outlook 2027

The recognition is based entirely on feedback from corporate legal decision-makers. According to BTI, clients identified the law firms they view as best positioned to handle their most pressing litigation needs based on factors including ideas and approaches, client service, prior performance, and the ability to deal effectively with aggressive opposing counsel. Firms were identified by clients without prompts or suggested names.

The recognition comes as corporate clients anticipate increasingly complex and consequential litigation. BTI reports that nearly 80% of clients expect to increase litigation spending or maintain already elevated spending levels, while bet-the-company matters, class actions, cybersecurity disputes, employment litigation, and complex commercial litigation are among the areas driving demand.

The BTI Litigation Outlook 2027 examines trends across a wide range of litigation areas, including complex commercial litigation, employment litigation, class actions, intellectual property litigation, securities and finance litigation, product liability litigation, cybersecurity litigation, and generative AI litigation.

BTI’s findings are based on more than 350 in-depth surveys and telephone interviews with leading legal decision-makers conducted primarily between December 2025 and August 2026. Participants include heads of litigation, general counsel and chief legal officers, direct reports to general counsel, and other executives involved in law firm hiring at large organizations. BTI describes the research as independent and unbiased and says no law firm or organization other than BTI sponsors the study.
