Dykema, a leading national law firm, is pleased to announce the addition of Tiffany H. Eggers and Sarah R. Douglas in Dallas as senior counsel of the firm’s Litigation Department and nationally renowned Government Investigations and Corporate Compliance group. They both join the firm from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Texas, bringing with them decades of experience and a formidable track record in federal trial work, white-collar prosecutions, cybercrime, and appellate advocacy.

Dykema’s Dallas office now boasts four former federal prosecutors from the Northern District of Texas. Eggers, former Criminal Chief, and Douglas, former Fraud Section Assistant U.S. Attorney, join Leigha Simonton, immediate former U.S. Attorney, and Scott Hogan, immediate former First Assistant U.S. Attorney, each of whom joined the firm in April. Together, this group shares an impressive—and perhaps unprecedented—combination of federal trial, investigative, and leadership experience.

“Tiffany and Sarah are among the most seasoned female trial attorneys in Texas and arguably the nation,” said Simonton. “Their deep courtroom experience, exceptional work ethic, and sharp legal instincts make them invaluable additions to our team. With their arrival, Dykema’s ability to handle high-stakes civil and criminal trial work in federal court reaches new heights—we aim to be the go-to shop to anyone having business in Texas federal courts because of our incredible knowledge in the Northern District of Texas and other Texas districts and our stellar reputation with the federal judges and court staff here.”

Eggers brings more than 25 years of trial and supervisory experience in state and federal courts. She has tried nearly 140 jury trials—including 49 in federal court—and most recently led the U.S. Attorney’s Office’s Cyber and National Security Section. A 20-year DOJ veteran, she previously served as the Criminal Chief for the Northern District of Texas, overseeing all criminal prosecutions and supervising a team of more than 65 Assistant U.S. Attorneys. Her experience spans healthcare fraud and other white-collar matters, including securities, tax, mail, wire fraud, ransomware, cyber breaches, national security threats, public corruption, and money laundering. Eggers is a recognized national authority on cybercrime and has led investigations and prosecutions in some of the country’s most complex and high-profile cyber matters.

Eggers earned her J.D., cum laude, from the Florida State University College of Law and her B.S. in Criminal Justice, summa cum laude, from Jacksonville State University.

Douglas brings extensive trial and appellate experience to Dykema. She has tried more than 85 jury trials—more than 70 as lead counsel—and handled complex criminal matters in both the Economic Crimes and Public Corruption and Major Crimes Sections of the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Before her federal service, she spent more than a decade at the Collin County District Attorney’s Office, including in the Appellate Division, where she authored over 60 appellate briefs and argued nine cases. Douglas is known for her high-impact trial and appellate strategy and precision in managing the voluminous discovery that comes with trying complex cases.

Douglas earned a J.D., magna cum laude, from Texas Tech University School of Law and a B.A. in Political Science, magna cum laude, from the University of North Texas.

“As experienced, versatile trial lawyers, Tiffany and Sarah bring the rare combination of courtroom firepower, investigative savvy, and the ability to learn and pivot across complex legal domains,” said Eric White, Managing Member of Dykema’s Dallas office. “Their arrival also reinforces our commitment to growing a deep and highly skilled litigation bench in Dallas.”

Eggers and Douglas immediately bolster the firm’s litigation capacity in Dallas and nationally, serving as trial counsel on civil and white-collar matters and playing key roles in Dykema’s Litigation and Government Investigations and Corporate Compliance practices. Eggers will also collaborate with the firm’s Cybersecurity and Data Privacy team, while Douglas is expected to contribute to appellate matters nationwide.

“Bringing on Tiffany and Sarah continues the exciting momentum in our Government Investigations practice,” said Mark Chutkow, the firmwide Practice Group Leader. “With Leigha, Scott, and now these two trial-tested litigators on board, Dykema is the destination for any individual or company in Texas facing high-stakes scrutiny from the government. Adding them to our deepening white collar bench will help our clients navigate the most complex investigations and enforcement matters anywhere in the country.”
