Dykema is proud to announce that Lisa Brown was selected for Fellowship in the Litigation Counsel of America (LCA). An invitation-only trial lawyer honorary society, LCA reports that its membership is limited to 3,500 Fellows, representing less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers.
LCA recognizes accomplished litigators and promotes professional development, scholarly writing, community involvement, and high standards of advocacy and ethics. Fellows are selected based on an evaluation of their effectiveness and accomplishments in litigation and trial work, as well as their ethical reputation.
Brown serves as office managing member of Dykema’s Detroit office, Co-Leader of the firm’s Supply Chain group and Leader of its Recall Cost Recovery team. For more than 26 years, she has represented global manufacturing and automotive companies and suppliers in complex commercial litigation and advised clients on contracting and pre-litigation strategy. Her practice also includes disputes across the technology, healthcare, and other commercial sectors.
Brown counsels clients on warranty and recall cost recovery, contracting and supply risks, pricing disputes, stop-ship threats, plant closures, and termination and obsolescence claims. She develops practical, business-focused solutions through negotiation and pre-litigation strategies and represents clients in jury trials, private arbitrations, and other legal forums across the country.
Brown earned a J.D., cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin and a B.A., with highest distinction, from the University of Michigan.
