Understanding the DOL’s New Rule Impacting Who’s an Independent Contractor vs. an Employee

Webinars

3.05.24 — 3.05.24 1:00 PM — 2:00 PM

The DOL's new final rule, which goes into effect March 11, introduces an expanded approach to worker classification by imposing new tests dramatically raising the bar on who can be treated as independent contractors. Under the new rule, many workers currently treated as contractors will have to be reclassified as employees and, going forward, it will be more difficult to engage workers as independent contractors. This webinar will analyze the rule’s key provisions and provide valuable insights to help employers navigate the DOL’s these new ground rules on worker classification.
