Ross Altman and Ann Fillingham Present at the 2014 Construction Industry Conference

November 17, 2014

Ross J. Altman, Chicago-based member and leader of Dykema’s Construction Law practice, and Ann Fillingham, Lansing-based member in the firm’s Corporate Finance practice, were both feature presenters at the 2014 Construction Law Conference on October 30, 2014.

Altman and Fillingham’s presentation, entitled, “Delivery of Construction Projects Through P3s,” examined the defining characteristics of Public-Private Partnerships (P3s) and explained why they must be viewed in the context of a long-term commercial transaction, and not just as an isolated construction project.

The presentation also covered how P3s are typically structured and reasons to use them, how financing needs often can drive the transaction structure, and how P3s differ from a typical construction project.
