Rob Boonin Interprets DOL Motives in SHRM Update of Overtime Rule Litigation

Robert A. Boonin, Detroit and Ann Arbor–based member in Dykema’s Labor & Employment Practice Group, and former chair of the Wage and Hour Defense Institute, was quoted in the Society for Human Resource Management article, “DOL Will Submit Request for Information on Overtime Rule.”

Commenting on the Department of Labor’s request for more time to file a brief pertaining to the long-contested overtime classifications rules court case, Boonin surmises that the DOL was playing for time while awaiting the Trump administration’s confirmation of a new Secretary of Labor.
