Brad Howell is an accomplished trial lawyer who thrives on competition, especially in the courtroom, defending his clients’ interests in product liability, catastrophic personal injury, and commercial litigation matters. He partners with his clients to understand their business and what they want to achieve in litigation. While Brad always stands ready to try a lawsuit, he also looks for creative ways to resolve disputes before expending the resources necessary to fully develop a case for trial.

Nationwide litigation experience, consistently favorable results, and a counseling approach that combines optimism and pragmatism in equal measure are the defining features of Brad's practice. They also form the foundation of the close and enduring client relationships he builds, including representing one of the world's largest heavy equipment manufacturers and its subsidiaries, affiliates, and dealer networks in products liability cases for almost 25 years.

Brad's effectiveness and success, particularly in cases arising from allegedly dangerous and defective consumer and industrial products, are in large part attributable to his ability to take the complex engineering, mechanical, and technological concepts at the heart of these matters and translate them into understandable language and compelling narratives. His communication style helps him connect not only with judges and juries but also with his clients. An open door, commitment to responsiveness, and appreciation of their pressures and priorities facilitate productive and seamless working relationships, which contribute to better outcomes.

In high-stakes, high-impact litigation, there is no substitute for experience. Brad has been trying and winning cases since his first weeks as a practicing attorney, and the pace and volume of his trial work and successes have remained at an equally impressive level in the decades since.

As a trial lawyer, respect is paramount – respect toward the legal system, the Court and its staff, the parties, fellow attorneys, and, perhaps most importantly, the jury. It is incumbent on a lawyer to be prepared and committed to presenting a persuasive, understandable, and efficient case – especially in lawsuits which involve complex or technical issues and evidence.
