Associate

David Ko is an associate in Dykema's Dallas office. He focuses his practice on complex corporate finance matters.

Prior to joining the firm, David gained valuable, diverse legal insight through several key in-house internships. He interned with CHRISTUS Health, an international hospital system, and Parkland Health, Dallas’s public health system, providing him with a strong foundation in healthcare operations, legal compliance, and heavily regulated transactions. Additionally, his experience at The Beck Group, a leading construction and architecture firm, exposed him to the corporate and real estate aspects of complex development projects.

David's commitment to legal and academic excellence was evident during his time at Texas A&M University, where he earned both his J.D. and his B.S. While in law school, he served as an Academic Support and Professional Identity Teaching Assistant and acted as a Research Assistant for the Health Law and Policy program at the School of Public Health. He served as a senior staff editor for the Texas A&M Journal of Property Law and was also an active member of the Aggie Health Law Society and the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association (APALSA).
