Emma Blackwood is an associate attorney in the Business Litigation practice of Dykema’s San Antonio office. Emma’s practice focuses on a wide range of litigation-related matters including corporate compliance, investigations and complex commercial disputes.

A team player with a competitive spirit, Emma was a member of the NCAA Division 1 Columbia Women’s soccer team during her tenure at Columbia University. In Law school she went on to serve as the Solicitations/Articles Editor to the St. Mary’s Law Journal which has produced works cited by numerous state appellate courts, the Texas Supreme Court, and the United States Supreme Court. Emma earned the Dean’s Achievement Award for the highest grades in her Property, Employment, Bankruptcy and Mortgages courses, as well being selected for the Women in Law Leadership Award. Emma was a research assistant for Colin P. Marks, Associate Dean for Strategic Partnerships and Innovative Programs and Professor of Contracts, Business Association, Business Torts and Secured Transactions. Finally, Emma served as a summer associate at Dykema in 2021.
