Lucas Peterson is a commercial litigator who represents companies, investors, and individuals in complex business disputes. Lucas works with clients from the first sign of conflict through motion practice, trial, and appeal. He works to advance each client’s unique interests and objectives, unafraid to go to trial when it serves the client’s interests and adept at positioning cases for a positive resolution when it doesn’t.
Lucas handles matters across the spectrum of commercial disputes, including business divorce and other membership, shareholder, and partnership conflicts; intellectual property and trade secret misappropriation; non-compete and other restrictive employment covenants; fraud; and construction. He also represents fiduciaries, beneficiaries, and other parties in trusts and estates litigation.
Lucas has first-chair trial experience and has represented clients at every stage of litigation and arbitration. He also counsels businesses to reduce legal risk before conflicts arise, advising on corporate governance and contracts to head off disputes before they arise.
Lucas has represented clients in a variety of industries, including aerospace, automotive manufacturing and distributing, commercial real estate, construction, energy, healthcare, financial services, hospitality, telecommunications, and transportation.
