Nicholas von der Lancken is a Dykema Member based out of the firms Los Angeles office. Nicholas recognizes that there is no one size fits all approach to litigation.

Through collaboration, creativity, and attention to detail, he analyzes each unique situation in order to serve clients most effectively. Nicholas uses this knowledge and legal experience to build effective, winning strategies for both early resolution and trial.

Nicholas regularly represents clients in product liability, personal injury, and general business litigation matters. Nicholas works with domestic and international clients across a broad range of industries, including automotive, manufacturing, technology, consumer products, and professional services.

Prior to joining Dykema, Nicholas worked at a high-exposure, defense litigation firm representing businesses in matters involving products liability, commercial litigation, catastrophic personal injury, and wrongful death. Throughout his career, Nicholas has handled complex product liability matters across the country from inception through trial and appeal, argued before the Court of Appeals, and served as regional counsel in the automotive and recreational vehicle industries. Recently, Nicholas obtained a defense verdict for a national automotive aftermarket service chain in a personal injury matter.

It is through collaborating and strategizing with colleagues that Nicholas effectively meets the needs of clients. He enjoys working directly with clients in order to build a trusting relationship and guide them through the litigation process. Nicholas addresses challenges creatively in order to achieve a favorable result for those he represents.
