Samuel R. Kilberg is a Member in Dykema’s Bloomfield Hills office whose practice focuses on complex real estate, land use, zoning, and energy‑infrastructure matters. He advises developers, utilities, energy companies, institutional investors, and national corporations on the full lifecycle of real estate and infrastructure projects, including site control, entitlements, permitting, acquisitions, leasing, and project financing.
Sam regularly serves as land use and condemnation counsel for large‑scale transmission, substation, commercial, industrial, and renewable energy developments. His work includes guiding clients through local and state regulatory processes, structuring real estate components of major transactions, and supporting the development and financing of utility‑scale energy facilities.
In addition to his development and infrastructure practice, Sam represents corporate clients in multi‑state expansion programs, serving as lead deal counsel and providing strategic zoning, permitting guidance.
He serves on the State Bar of Michigan Real Property Law Section Council, where he is Chair of the Membership Committee and editor of the Section’s monthly E‑Newsletter.
Sam is also a graduate of Leadership Oakland XXXII and Leadership Oakland Jr. I.
