Thomas (“T.J.”) Lurie defends automobile manufacturers in product liability litigation. He has defended clients facing first-party and third-party bodily injury claims as well as construction defect matters involving product liability, wrongful death automotive product liability claims and negligence claims brought against trucking companies.
T.J. also has commercial litigation experience in business disputes and consumer claims in the Midwest. He has drafted complex pleadings and motions — ranging from discovery to dispositive motions and appellate briefs — and managed discovery and document review and production.
T.J. has prepared liability cases for trial, including deposing accident reconstruction, medical, and fire cause and origin experts, drafting motions in limine, and reviewing medical records to determine damages. He has argued discovery and dispositive motions in both state and federal court and successfully argued in front of the Michigan Court of Appeals.
