"State of the Automotive Industry"
2012 Automotive Institute Survey Results
On October 17, 2012, the Dykema Automotive Institute unveiled the results of its 2012 survey, “State of the Automotive Industry.” This comprehensive survey explores current attitudes and perspectives of OEMs and suppliers on a broad array of issues that currently confront automakers. Among them: supply chain management, mergers and acquisitions activity, privacy and security consequences of new connected vehicle technologies, litigation—particularly class action lawsuits, protecting intellectual property (IP) from competitive encroachment and identifying the key areas of legislative focus.
Aleks Miziolek, Director of Dykema’s Automotive Industry Group, states that “while the automotive industry is emerging strongly from the depths of the global recession, there are many challenges still on the horizon for automotive executives that may impact the long term success of the industry.”
