From pandemic to president’s taxes: OT19 in review

James S. Azadian, Los Angeles-based member in Dykema’s Commercial Litigation and Appellate Practice Groups, authored an article for The Daily Journal titled “From pandemic to president’s taxes: OT19 in review.”

In the article, which is Part 1 of a two-part series, Azadian touches on one of the most politically volatile SCOTUS terms in recent memory. He points out that the October 2019 term resulted in only 55 decisions after oral argument and five summary reversals—the smallest docket since the 1800s. Azadian goes on to discuss several cases having to do with a variety of topics, including abortion, criminal law/procedure, the electoral college, employment law/LGBT rights and immigration law.
