Third-party employers providing companionship services to the elderly and infirm may soon see a change in the cost to provide services and/or the way services are delivered. Currently excluded from complying with minimum wage and overtime requirements of the Fair Labor Standards Act, new proposed regulations may eliminate the third-party exclusion.
