Laura Baucus, Bloomfield Hills-based Director of Dykema’s Automotive Industry Group, and Andrew Buczek, Washington, D.C.-based Government Policy Advisor, were quoted in the Automotive World article, “The software-loaded car hit hard by microchip shortage.”

Baucus and Buczek discuss the range of options automakers have to rethink their supply chain, and what these options look like in both the short-term and future. Some approaches they touched on include building up stockpiles, bolstering local semiconductor capacity, and examining current supply contracts.
