Dykema, a leading national law firm, is pleased to announce that the firm’s Detroit office has completed its move to One Kennedy Square, located at 777 Woodward Avenue, adjacent to Campus Martius Park in the heart of Downtown Detroit’s Central Business District. The move reinforces Dykema’s confidence in Detroit’s continued growth and the firm’s commitment to remaining an active member and partner of the city’s business community.
The new 25,700-square-foot office space houses nearly 100 attorneys and staff and marks a return for the firm’s Detroit office to the Central Business District—the firm was originally founded nearly a century ago in the Penobscot Building, which is also adjacent to One Kennedy Square.
Designed by Neumann/Smith Architecture and constructed by PCI, the new space features universal offices and an adaptable layout that promotes efficiency, teamwork, and connectivity. The firm worked closely with these partners and REDICO, the landlord, to create a space that evokes both the firm’s and the city’s character.
The new office aligns with Dykema’s ongoing efforts across its national platform to modernize its real estate footprint and provide collaborative, functional, and future-focused spaces. Technology-enabled conference rooms and flexible spaces ensure seamless client interaction across industries and geographies.
“This move represents an exciting next chapter for Dykema,” said Len Wolfe, Dykema’s Chair and CEO. “We are proud to reaffirm our long-standing commitment to the City of Detroit while investing in a space designed to foster collaboration, support our colleagues, and deliver exceptional client service.”
“One of our top priorities in this office will be to continue growing our team here in Detroit,” said Lisa Brown, Managing Member of Dykema’s Detroit office. “The modern, collaborative design of this space will help us attract top legal talent who want to be part of a dynamic firm in the heart of downtown.”
One Kennedy Square is a Class A, award-winning building recognized for its distinctive architecture. Owned and managed by REDICO, a national real estate development and investment firm, One Kennedy Square’s translucent green-tinted glass façade is a landmark fixture. The 250,000 square foot, 10-story, Class A office building has earned BOMA’s “The Office Building of the Year” (TOBY) Award.
“As we approach the firm’s 100thanniversary in 2026, this move underscores both our history and our future,” Wolfe added. “We are excited to welcome clients, colleagues, and community partners to our new downtown home and look forward to the opportunities this space will help us create together.”
