Electric Vehicles: The Federal Government Charges Ahead

Dykema Drives Auto Webinars

3.03.22 — 3.03.22 1:00 PM — 2:00 PM

If the number of Electric Vehicle (EV) ads run during the Super Bowl is any indication, the market for EV appears to be growing. This is true in the commercial marketplace, and it is beginning to hold true in the federal government marketplace as well. EV feature prominently in the recently passed Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, as well as the current Administration’s Green Procurement Plan, a key feature of which is a call for converting all federal, state, local and tribal vehicle fleets to “clean and zero-emission vehicles” that are “made in America” and meet certain other requirements. As with any initiative of this scope, the federal government’s focus on EV brings with it both opportunities and challenges.

Join Dykema’s experts for an overview of the current federal government landscape for EV, focusing on the nature of the opportunities and how they may be influenced going forward, as well as on some of the potential benefits and legal/practical challenges associated with doing business with the federal government.
