Rob Boonin Addresses Child Care Trends Amid COVID-19 in SHRM

Robert A. Boonin, Detroit- and Ann Arbor-based member in Dykema’s Labor and Employment practice group, was quoted in the SHRM article, “Child Care Complicates Return to Work.”

The article addressed how businesses are dealing with parents returning to the workplace amid child care shortages and concerns during the COVID-19 crisis. Some businesses offer flexible work hours, while others offer remote work, reduced work hours, and even personal backup care to their employees. Boonin said, “…employers are going to have to weigh what they can do on a case-by-case or business-by-businesses basis.”
