Robert Boonin, Detroit and Ann Arbor-based member in Dykema’s Labor and Employment group, was quoted in the SHRM article, “Presidential Election: A Labor Relations Overview.”

The article discussed similarities and differences between the presidential candidates on workplace issues, particularly those in the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) affected by the proposed Protecting the Right to Organize Act (PRO Act). Boonin points out that “legal doctrine under the NLRA tends to swing based on the president’s political ideology,” but cautioned that those changes could take years.
