Paul Laurenza to Speak at Kickoff Event for AutoBeat Group’s Advanced Mobility Project on January 15, 2014

Paul M. Laurenza, Office Managing Member of Dykema’s Washington, D.C. office and a member of the Firm’s Automotive Industry Group, will be one of two presenters at the January 15, 2014 midday event launching AutoBeat Group’s Advanced Mobility Project. This initiative, created by AutoBeat Group—a leading Detroit-based publisher of business-to-business automotive e-journals—will serve as an information resource to all those involved in New Mobility products (including policymakers, legislators and regulatory agencies, manufacturers and service providers, and the general public). 

Topics to be addressed through this initiative include:

  • Ride Sharing
  • Electric Vehicle Charging
  • Urban Mobility
  • Integrating Next-Generation Transportation Systems

In this 90-minute kickoff event—to be held at Detroit’s Cobo Center on January 15, beginning at 11:00am (ET), and created chiefly for journalists, editors and other representatives of the media—Laurenza will discuss regulatory and liability issues related to the emerging area of connected vehicles. In addition to his long-time participation in Dykema’s Automotive Industry Group, Laurenza currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Connected Vehicle Trade Association (CVTA). 

This kickoff event will take place just before the official opening of the North American International Auto Show 2014, the automotive industry’s most substantive annual event, attracting over 2,000 companies and 28,000 top executives from around the world.
