Steinfield and Lintemuth Address Employees Returning to Work in BenefitsPRO

Arlene Switzer Steinfield of Dallas and Elisa Lintemuth of Grand Rapids, both members in Dykema’s Labor & Employment practice, were quoted in the BenefitsPRO article, “Returning to the workplace: Navigating the legal obstacles.”

In the article, Steinfield and Lintemuth provide guidance for employers deciding who will return to work. Steinfield said, “Many employers are suggesting that they allow employees the choice to return to work,” but added that employers should document the voluntary return, address employees' fears, and create a comfortable and safe environment. Lintemuth discussed reasons why employees may not want to return, including fear and making more money through unemployment payments.
